SHORT DESCRIPTION:
Schools from different cities, different countries, will be united around the Wishing a rainbow for the world project, which aims to develop the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda in its diverse dimensions. Each school/class will choose an SDG to work on in collaboration with the school’s different subjects.
The main idea behind the project is that everyone reflects on the fulfillment of the Agenda 2030 proposals, ending up with a rainbow of hope for a better world.

Work process
State how you intend to work with your partner schools and how responsibilities are shared. Give an approximate calendar of activities, state how frequently you will work with your partner; indicate how you intend to involve your pupils; if you intend to create teams of pupils of different schools, and other relevant information.
- SDG Rainbow Logo (Months November):
- Each country creates an “SDG Rainbow,” logo (according to the colors proposed in the official table of the 2030 Agenda)
- Students vote on their favorite logo.
- SDG Rainbow Meetings (Months December and January):
- Each class will promote a moment of presentation.
- Online meetings (schedule two classes together).
- Online meetings – all together doing the same activity (Example: a song).
- SDG Rainbow Quest (Months February and March):
- Each country creates an “SDG Rainbow,” assigning an SDG to each color (according to the colors proposed in the official table of the 2030 Agenda)
- Students develop creative interpretations and artistic representations for their assigned SDGs.
- “SDG Rainbow parade” – Carnival
- “SDG” Days: 7 days for each color of the rainbow (students go to school dressing the specific color of the day)
- Multidisciplinary SDG Challenge (Months November to May):
- Students participate in a cross-subject SDG challenge, proposing innovative solutions for real-world problems linked to the SDGs.
- Teams from different countries collaborate to tackle the same challenge.
- Students will write emails and postcards to send to the local council and to members of the government, prime minister and/or president of the country.
- Cultural Showcase (November to May):
- Organize virtual cultural exchange events where students share their cultures, traditions, and artistic expressions.
- Explore how culture and art can influence the perception and promotion of the SDGs.
- Creative SDG Projects (November to May):
- Students conceptualize and implement fun and creative projects to address specific SDGs, such as art installations, awareness campaigns, or interactive games (at school, in the city or online)
- Share their projects, methods, and outcomes with the partner countries.
- Virtual Rainbow Lunch (June):
- Prepare for a virtual “Rainbow Lunch” event where students showcase their creative interpretations of the SDGs. Each class makes a lunch with rainbow food and it will be being broadcast live to all the schools in the project.
- Celebrate the richness of culture, creativity, and commitment in promoting the SDGs.
- Grand Finale Exhibition (June):
- Culminate the project with a grand finale exhibition, combining artistic displays, project showcases, and multimedia presentations.
- Engage students in explaining their creative interpretations and the impact of their SDG projects.
Expected results
A vibrant and creative approach to learning about the SDGs across all school subjects. Innovative solutions and projects that address real-world challenges related to the SDGs, reflecting students’ creativity and cross-subject understanding.
Strengthened cross-cultural understanding and collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds.
A visually stunning virtual “Rainbow activities” showcasing creative interpretations of the SDGs.
A spectacular grand finale exhibition that presents the culmination of a year of creative and collaborative work.
A project report summarizing the achievements, creative approaches, and insights gained during the project, to be shared with school communities and relevant stakeholders.
Through “Wishing a Rainbow for the World: The Grand Finale of SDG Creativity,” students will embark on an exciting and creative learning journey that celebrates diversity, fosters a sense of global responsibility, and demonstrates the potential of art, creativity, and collaboration in addressing global challenges.
Σχολεία από διάφορες πόλεις, διάφορες χώρες, θα ενωθούν γύρω από το έργο “Ευχή για ένα ουράνιο τόξο για τον κόσμο”, το οποίο στοχεύει στην ανάπτυξη των Στόχων Βιώσιμης Ανάπτυξης (SDGs) της Ατζέντας 2030 στις διάφορες τους διαστάσεις. Κάθε τάξη θα επιλέξει ένα SDG για να εργαστεί σε συνεργασία με διάφορα μαθήματα του σχολείου. Η κύρια ιδέα πίσω από το έργο είναι να σκέφτεται κανείς πώς μπορεί να υλοποιήσει τις προτάσεις της Ατζέντας 2030, καταλήγοντας σε ένα ουράνιο τόξο ελπίδας για έναν καλύτερο κόσμο.
Οι τάξεις που συμμετέχουν είναι οι Δ , Ε και ΣΤ με συμμετέχοντες εκπαιδευτικούς τον Δ/ντή κ. Σωτήρη Στάμο, Αναστασία Παλασίδου, Ανδρομάχη Παραπούρα και Μαρτίνα Τάντση.
